When I started riding only a few years ago, I took lessons from a teacher with a dressage background. Now I am still taking lessons from the same teacher, Linda Bushnell, at and have reached the point where I feel I am just beginning to learn the basics!
We are also taking a lessons from Trish Helmer, who managed to squeeze us into a very busy schedule. Trish is at , about a 40 minute drive from us. But it will be worth taking our horses there for lessons. The truth is, we kind of get along together and she is terribly curious about the Icelandic horses. We have been raving so much about Trish that our friend, Martina Gates, came up with her well-trained stallion, . She was curious about Trish and Trish was curious about Stigandi.
So Martina came and took a lesson on Stigandi. Here is an excerpt.
