The juniors’ group of 4 and 5 year-olds at Reitskóli Harðar — the Hördur Club Riding School — in Mosfellsbaer go off on a trail ride. Count how many — if any — of the horses are tied! For Americans of a certain age, this could be the Art Linkletter School of Icelandic Horseback Riding! The kids are a riot but these horses put up with it all. In fact, they steal the show. I think that this is one of the greatest selling points for the breed.
I wonder where they are now and how many are still riding. Perhaps you will see some familiar faces — or your own — and let us know as a comment!
And here is a little bonus, some slightly older kids tacking up for a trail ride!
